MUMBAI: A resident of Worli drowned off Bogmalo beach in Goa on Friday.
 
Rupesh Rajan Shivdekar, 29, was part of a group of aircraft technicians from Mumbai.
 
Shivdekar drowned when he along with his friends ventured out for a swim, Goa’s Herald newspaper reported.
 
On receiving information, a police team led by Vasco police sub-inspector Rupendra Shetgaonkar went to the site, the newspaper said.
 
The Coast Guard, which was also informed about the incident, conducted a search operation.
 
The body was fished out at 10 am.
 
The deceased and his friends had come to Goa on October 25 and were staying at a hotel in Vasco.
