Navid Husain Khan, the 12th accused in the train blasts case, was produced before the special MCOCA court in Mazgaon on Saturday. He has been remanded in police custody till October 13.

Khan, who allegedly planted the bomb that exploded in Khar on July 11, was arrested from Hyderabad late on Friday evening and brought to Mumbai on Saturday.

Khan, a call center employee in Hyderabad, said in court that his friend Sameer (nick-name for another 11/7 accused, Faizal Sheikh), had “casually” mentioned his name, which was why he was being dragged into the conspiracy. His family is based in Mumbra, and he had been shuttling between Mumbai and Hyderabad.

Three other accused, Muzammil Sheikh, Sohail Sheikh and Jameer Sheikh, have been remanded in police custody till October 9.
