BANGALORE: The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Bangalore is conducting the narco-analysis test for the second time on two suspects Faisal Sheikh and Etesham Siddiqui, who were arrested in the 7/11 Mumbai blasts case.

The second test were prompted after the suspects responded to some clues which the Mumbai police were verifying and the police expect additional inputs that could help in cracking the case.

“We needed to clarify on certain points provided by the two suspects, which were vital for further investigations,” additional commissioner of police, Anti-terrorism Squad (ATS) Jaijeet Singh told DNA.

The first narco-analysis tests conducted last week, on the two suspects, provided vital clues and hence, a decision was taken to conduct the test for second time, sources said. Those tests have provided many vital leads and clues, which will help the ATS to crack the case faster, a top official requesting anonymity told DNA. The Mumbai ATS is said to be excited on the outputs of the test conducted, sources said.

Faisal and Etesham were brought for brain mapping and narco-analysis test to FSL, Bangalore last week. However, a lie-detection test was not conducted.
