SC dismisses Andaleeb Sehgal's plea

The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a petition filed by Andaleeb Sehgal seeking stay on any further action based on the report of Justice R S Pathak Inquiry Authority that went into the Iraqi oil-for-food scam.

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a petition filed by Andaleeb Sehgal seeking stay on any further action based on the report of Justice R S Pathak Inquiry Authority that went into the Iraqi oil-for-food scam.
 
The Pathak panel has found that Andaleeb, the Director of Hamadaan Exports, has been profited from the deal.
 
He was also questioned by the Enforcement Directorate for alleged involvement in the scam.
 
The Enforcement Directorate on Sunday issued showcause notices to former External Affairs Minister K Natwar Singh, Jagat, Andaleeb and others for alleged irregularities in the scam.
