Maharashtra director general of police PS Pasricha on Wednesday admitted that the police had no specific intelligence inputs on terrorists targetting railway compartments.
“Although we had some intelligence inputs nothing was too specific,” Pasricha said. “Intelligence has its own limitations and the police can’t be successful always.” He said the ATS has got some clues. “A few people have been picked up for questioning,” he said.

The DGP was speaking to reporters at the state police headquarters in Colaba. “The style and structure of the operation is similar to that adopted by Lashkar operatives. But we need to check on other aspects as well,” he said.
