India to host Twenty20 Cup or Champions Trophy

India will host either the Twenty20 Cup or the Champions Trophy in 2013 as per the list of venues approved by the ICC for its schedule until 2015.

LONDON: India will host either the Twenty20 Cup or the Champions Trophy in 2013 as per the list of venues approved by the ICC for its schedule until 2015 at the organisation's annual conference here.
  
India, which will host this year's Champions Trophy in September, will have to choose between hosting either of the two events in 2013 in the schedule announced till 2015, a statement issued by the ICC said here.

In addition to this, the country will jointly host the 2011 World Cup with Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangaldesh after the quartet beat the combined bid put by Australia and New Zealand earlier this year. The Aussies-Kiwi bid won the rights to host the World Cup in 2015.

 The hosts were approved in accordance with the ICC Memorandum and
Articles by the Board of Directors.

2008: Champions Trophy (Pakistan), U-19 Cricket World Cup
      (Malaysia)
2009: Twenty20 (England), Women's World Cup (Australia), ICC
      Trophy (UAE)
2010: Champions Trophy (West Indies), U-19 Cricket World Cup
      (Kenya), World Cricket League Division One (The Netherlands)
2011: Cricket World Cup (Asia)
2012: Champions Trophy or Twenty20 (Sri Lanka), U-19 Cricket World
      Cup (Canada)
2013: Champions Trophy or Twenty20 (India), Women's World Cup
      (Scotland), ICC Trophy (Venue to be chosen)
2014: Champions Trophy or Twenty20 (Bangladesh), U-19 Cricket World
      Cup (UAE), World Cricket League Division One
      (Venue to be chosen)
2015: Cricket World Cup (Australia/New Zealand)
