LONDON: India and West Indies have agreed to play a series of cricket matches in Canada, the details of which are still to be worked out, International Cricket Council Chief Executive Malcolm Speed confirmed on Friday.

Speed, who was addressing the ICC Business Forum meeting at Lord's, said details like the number of matches, timing of the series and venues were still needed to be worked out.

Asked if there was any discussion on India's objection to playing too many matches against countries like Bangladesh and Zimbabwe, he said "the issue did not figure in the meeting".

Indian Cricket Board President Sharad Pawar was present at the meeting, which was part of a string ICC's annual meetings.
