LONDON: Sachin Tendulkar will join a galaxy world stars for an International XI team to play in a Twenty20 match against Pakistan at The Oval here to raise money for the October 8 earthquake victims.

Team India skipper Rahul Dravid will lead the side which will also have Mahendra Singh Dhoni, besides West Indies captain Brain Lara and Sri Lankan spin wizard Muttiah Muralitharan among others.

"I'd like to thank Sachin for his support in this event and previous charity matches held at the Brit Oval," Surrey chief Paul Sheldon said on Monday.

"It is fantastic to have one of the world's greatest batsmen on show. His presence, along with the other great players on display, will go a long way to ensuring that the day will be a huge success."

Tendulkar has not played international cricket since rupturing a tendon in his shoulder during India's home series against England in March.

But, in recent weeks he has been testing out his fitness in a series of appearances for the Kent-based Lashings World XI, which have also helped raise money for charity.

The Indian batting maestro, who is hoping to make a comeback for India in a triangular one-day series against Sri Lanka and South Africa in August, has scored two centuries so far and an innings of 98 to his credit at the Lashings.

International XI team: Rahul Dravid (captain), MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Muttiah Muralitharan, Brian Lara, Chris Cairns, Makhya Ntini, Andrew Hall, Scot Styris, Azhar Mahmood, Mohammad Akram, Saqlain Mushtaq.
