Holland might rest 8 players against Argentina

FREIBURG: Holland coach Marco van Basten could make up to eight changes against Argentina in the fixture that will decide who wins Group C on Wednesday in Frankfurt.

"We are thinking of resting the six players who are on one yellow card," said Van Basten. "We don't want to risk that anyone picks up a suspension for the next stage."

Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Robin van Persie, Joris Mathijsen, Arjen Robben, Mark van Bommel and Khalid Boulahrouz are all one card away from a suspension and Johnny Heitinga and Phillip Cocu are both struggling with injuries.

"Perhaps we can't rest all of them. We need eleven players who are capable of facing Argentina. They are a strong team and my favourites to win the tournament," Van Basten added.
