Zaheera shifted to Nashik jail

Zaheera Shaikh, sentenced to a year's rigorous imprisonment for contempt of court by the Supreme Court, has been brought here from Mumbai and kept in a women's cell of the Central Jail.

NASHIK: Zaheera Shaikh, sentenced to a year's rigorous imprisonment for contempt of court by the Supreme Court, has been brought here from Mumbai and kept in a women's cell of the Central Jail.
    
The witness-turned-accused in the Best Bakery case, who was also sentenced to three months in jail for perjury in the case by a Mumbai sessions court, was brought to Nashik Road Central Jail on on June 14, acting jail superintendent S V Khatavkar said on Monday.
 
"She has been kept in the women's cell of the jail," he said, adding that Zaheera was cooperating with the jail authorities while serving the sentence.
