JAMMU: Two militants laid down arms before the security forces in Doda and Rajouri districts of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, official sources said.
Mohammad Shafi Gujjar of Patnazi-Bunjwa area in Doda district surrendered before station house officer (SHO) of police at Chatroo and handed over one AK rifle alongwith two magazines and one hand grenade, the sources said.
Gujjar was involved in militancy since April 2005 and was active in Chatroo tehsil, they said, adding he will be sent for detailed questioning about his links with militants and other over ground supporters of utlras in Doda district.
Another militant of Lashker-e-Toiba outfit surrendered before a joint team of security forces and police in Rajouri district on Saturday, the sources said.
The ultra, whose identity has not been revealed, handed over one AK rifle along with its two magazines and 60 rounds, they added.
