ST. JOHNS (Antigua): Left-arm seamer Pedro Collins was named as replacement for injured paceman Fidel Edwards in a 13-member West Indies squad for the second cricket Test against India beginning at St. Lucia on Saturday.

Edwards suffered a hamstring strain during the first Test and it is doubtful whether he would be able to take any further part in the series.

Collins, who is also the half-brother of Edwards, was the only change in the squad named by selectors on the final day of the first Test which ended in a draw on Tuesday.

"Edwards suffered a strain to his right hamstring during the first Test match and has been ruled out of the second game. He will return to his native Barbados while Collins will join the squad in St. Lucia tomorrow," a press release from the West Indies Cricket Board said.

Edwards left the field on the third day during India's innings but came back to bat with a runner when his team was staring at defeat. He played with amazing tenacity to see off crucial 36 balls in the end.

West Indies coach Bennett King voiced concerns over Edwards' availability for the rest of the series.
