Rain hits train services on Konkan route

Train services have been severely hit in the Konkan region owing to incessant rain during the last 24 hours.

MUMBAI: Train services have been severely hit in the Konkan region owing to incessant rains during the last 24 hours.

Ratnagiri district in the region received 110 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours.

Several trains on the Konkan route had to be rescheduled due to the rain which has caused waterlogging on tracks.

The following trains are late:

0103-Dn Mandavi Express scheduled for today has been rescheduled to 10 pm, KR 4 Ratnagiri-Dadar Passenger has been rescheduled to 10 am, instead of 6.10 am.

The 2051-Dn Janshatabadi Express is running 1.15 hours late, while 2620-Up Matsyagandha Express, scheduled to depart on Wedneday, is 13 hours late.

The 6311 Jodhpur-Trivandrum Express is five hours late and 0112-Up Konkankanya Express is running 12 hours late.

The 0111-Dn Konkankanya Express is 7.35 hours late, 2617 Ernakulam-Nizamuddin Mangala Express is 1.40 hours late, 6346-Up Netravati Express is two hours late, and 0104-Up Mandavi Express has been rescheduled to depart at 2.30 pm.

The 6345-Dn Netravati Express is expected to depart on time on Thursday.

The Konkan Railways has urged passengers to call 10722 for inquiries.
