Undertrial hurls slipper at judge

An angry undertrial on Wednesday hurled a slipper at a judge during a hearing here and was sentenced to one month's simple imprisonment for contempt of court.

BHILWARA (Rajasthan): An angry undertrial on Wednesday hurled a slipper at a judge during a hearing here and was sentenced to one month's simple imprisonment for contempt of court.
    
The incident occurred in the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Shilpa Samir when undertrial Ismail gave vent to his ire.
    
Noting the act to be a contempt of court, the judge sentenced Ismail to under a month's simple imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs 200 on him.
    
The guard posted in the court took the undertrial to jail.
