DUBAI: Over 60,000 residents, including Indians, of a housing colony here have been served eviction notices by the Dubai Development Board.
    
The notices have been served to demolish the buildings due to their "deteriorating condition", the Gulf News reported on Sunday, quoting residents.
 
Rashid Housing Colony, built for Dubai municipality staff, have thousands of expatriates of low and middle income families from various countries because of low rents, it said.
    
The notice has told the residents to visit the Development Board to finalise the matter, it added.
 
The Development Board could not be reached for comment, the paper said.
