Mahajan embodied spirit of young India: Mulford

MUMBAI: The United States on Wednesday condoled the death of BJP leader Pramod Mahajan and described him as a "forward-looking leader who embodied the vibrancy of young India".

"On behalf of the American people and Government, I convey my condolences to the family of Pramod Mahajan, following his tragic and untimely death," US Ambassador David Mulford said in a statement here.

"Pramod Mahajan embodied the spirit and vibrancy of young India. He was a forward-looking leader who had the vision and determination to guide India towards a bright and prosporous future", the statement added.
