DUBAI: Two blasts rocked Bahrain's capital Manama, Al Jazeera television reported on Wednesday.   
 
The television quoted Interior Ministry sources as saying that an explosion followed an earlier one that it said was the result of a locally manufactured cylinder.
 
There were no reports of injuries, Al Jazeera reported.   
 
“An hour-and-a-half ago, an explosion took place. The Interior ministry said this explosion was the result of a locally manufactured cylinder. The ministry did not say if it was a gas cylinder,” Al Jazeera's correspondent in Bahrain said.   
 
The television said security forces were investigating the incidents.
 
The least wealthy of the Gulf Arab oil producers, the island state of Bahrain, has a history of political and sectarian tension.
