The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) president, Ashok Singhal, on Wednesday said his organisation was ready to help end jehadi terrorism. “Nobody should point fingers at Hindus, we are strong enough to hit back,” he added.

Singhal was speaking at the 5th global meet of the Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS) at Rani Laxmibai Military School for Girls in Kasar Amboli village near Pune. The four-day HSS camp was inaugurated by general secretary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Suresh ‘Bhaiyya’ Joshi.

According to Singhal, 85% Muslims wanted peace, but the remaining 15% were fomenting trouble and attacking people of other religions, especially Hindus. “We are ready to fight jehadis and organising such events is part of mobilising Hindus across the world,’’ Singhal said.

According to him, the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) was wary of Hindu organisations. “They have  realised that it is difficult  to  fight us,’’
Singhal said.

RSS leader Indresh Kumar, recently quizzed by the CBI for his alleged links with the Ajmer blast, was also present.

Singhal accused Congress president Sonia Gandhi of being an agent of the Vatican. “Sonia is in India to spread Christianity. Conversions from one religion to another have increased in the last few years,’’ he said.

“As Sonia is an agent of the Vatican, she allowed destruction of the Ram Setu bridge. We will never allow Babar’s tomb in the place of Lord Ram’s birthplace,’’ Singhal said.

Singhal dubbed Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi as “Prince of Wales with no brains. If he had brains, he would not have said that Hindu groups were a bigger threat than Muslims. Rahul does not understand the difference between
RSS and LeT.”
