Two killed in separate mishaps in Pune

Two people were killed and three others sustained serious injuries in two separate road accidents in the city in the last 48 hours. The incidents took place in Sangvi and Bhosari areas.

In the first incident, 21-year-old Vinayak alias Sonya Manik Kahdekar was killed, while his friend Subhash Dagdu Burule sustained serious injuries after their motorcycle was hit by a speeding mini-bus on Tuesday morning in front of Mangalmurti Hospital in Rahatani.

The police have booked the bus driver, Satish Vaijanath Kamble, for rash and negligent driving. The Sangvi police are investigating the case.

In a hit-and-run case, 26-year-old Mohanlal Vamanlal Chowdhari was killed, while his two friends, Madaram Chowdhari and Omprakash Chowdhari, sustained injuries after their motorcycle was hit by a speeding Tata Sumo on Pune-Nashik Road on Monday night.
