Thane wada-pav vendor injured in firing

A 43-year-old wada-pav vendor was injured in firing at village Dwarli in Ulhasnagar taluka of the district in the wee hours today. Police said that B P Yadav, the victim, was asleep at his shop-cum-house when four persons in the age group 20-25 broke open the shutter and fired at him from a country-made revolver.

Yadav has been admitted to Central Hospital at Ulhasnagar with bullet wounds on his right leg. The attackers had covered their faces with handkerchiefs and police believe that they could have come with intention of robbing the shop.
