Senior police inspector (traffic administration), Vijaykumar Palsule, told DNA, “People should wear a helmet while driving their two-wheelers. We have also given information about the importance of helmet on Facebook.”

Palsule added, “Since January 1, we are penalising riders found violating traffic rules and not wearing a helmet. We are urging people to wear helmet for their own safety, but still most of them are not wearing it, which leads to more road fatalities.”
