Seven people accused in the 2006 Malegaon blast case were released on bail on Wednesday. The September 8, 2006, blast killed 37 people and injured more than 100.

Salman Farsi Abdul Latif, Shabbir Ahmed Masiullha, Noorul Huda Shamsuduha, Rais Ahmed Rajjab Ali, Mohammed Zaid Abdul Majid, and Farookh Iqbal Magdumi were released from Arthur Road jail while Abrar Ahmed was released from Byculla jail.  Two others will continue to remain in custody as they are also accused in the 11/7 serial train blasts case.
