The first Mayor of  Thane Satishchandra Pradhan and senior Shiv Sena leader who left the party on account of differences only to join the NCP and MNS today returned to the parent party and started campaigning for the saffron outfit.

Pradhan, who is nearing seventy was seen campaigning for the Sena candidate Rajan Vichare in the city. He deserted the MNS last week protesting that the party chief Raj Thackeray was not listening to him and went his own way.

Pradhan had sought the party ticket for the Thane Assembly seat but it went to the loosing Lok Sabha candidate Rajan Raje which irked him. In the Sena Pradhan who enjoyed much clout was totally ignored by Gennext and he was humiliated over this and deserted the Sena under extreme duress only to join the NCP.

Even in the NCP he was the leader but was not given much importance by the party bosses and hence he deserted the Sharad Pawar-led party and joined the MNS and after remaining for quite a long time finally deserted it last week.

The expertise of Shiv Sena and the hard work he had put in so many years as the Rajya Sabha member will come handy to the Sena to capture power in the state and will be treated as an asset, a sources said.
