Pune polls 2012: ‘No dues’ certificate a must for candidates

The Pune Municipal Corporation’s (PMC) election office on Friday announced it has started a special cell for providing ‘No dues and no objection certificate’ to all candidates. The candidates failing to produce this certificate will be disqualified by the election office.

Pravin Ashtikar, head of the election cell for PMC elections said, “The candidates filing nominations will have to attach a no-dues and no-objection certificate. A separate cell has been started on the ground floor in the PMC building and the assistant tax collector is the head of the that cell.”
