Prithviraj Chavan urges Hazare to withdraw fast

Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan today enquired about the health of Anna Hazare and appealed to him to withdraw his 10-day-old fast demanding a strong Lokpal.

"I enquired about the health of Hazare over phone," Chavan told reporters here.

He said he had appealed to the septuagenarian Gandhian to withdraw his fast stating that the government was willing to bring in a "strong Lokpal Bill to curb corruption in the country".
