No new leads in Anindita case

VASHI: Turbhe police on Saturday said there has been no major development in the Anindita Goswami-Mishra murder case. Mishra, 34, an assistant HR manager with Reliance Infocomm, was stabbed to death by one of her colleagues in front of Gate No1 at the Dhirubhai Ambani Knowledge City in Ghansoli, where she worked.

“Jacob Pinto, the alleged accused who stabbed Anindita, is still absconding. A raid at his Kamothe residence yielded nothing, but a team has been sent to Sangli where he has been traced to,” an officer of the Turbhe police station said. “The accused lived with his wife and son at Kamothe.” PI (Crime) Arvind Patil, from the Turbhe police station, added: “Nothing can be concluded as of now since we are still searching for the accused, and a team has already left for Sangli.”

DCP (Zone 1) RD Shinde, said: “The team left for Sangli on Friday itself and we are hopeful of nabbing the accused in a day or two.”
