MLA Krishna Hegde presents Congress's plan for the future of the city.

"Don't tell us what you have done. Tell us your future plans,"- audience to Mr Hegde.

"Revenue and capital as well as gender budgets need strengthening. Problems of the urban poor will be addressed," says Hegde. "It is disappointing to see that of 28 corporators of these wards, so few have turned up for this event,"

"We started this campaign to change the perception that the BMC election is for the bai," says Rajeev Pai for DNA.

Hegde speaks of his work as an MLA -- CCTV project, seven gardens developed, naala work done, Sahar elevated flyover.

Parag Alavni of the BJP to speak for his party now. "Why don't people turn up for such events? asks Alavni.

"What we will be planning is to mobilise funds. We need to make our budget strong and collect taxes effeciently. We have not done all the work but we know the problems. And we are qualified to handle them," says Alavni.

Adolf DSouza, citizen candidate says that his motto is to get people involved and get citizens to work with the government as a team. "More can be done if citizens work together," says DSouza.

Heena Shroff from the Mumbai Nagrik Manch says she is just a vigilant citizen and wants everyone to be the same. "Our motto is service delivery. I know what it is like to be denied service," says Shroff.

"We want to be judicious with BMC money and be better planners and save money in our ward," says Shroff.

Sangeeta Sharma, aspiring candidate from Loksatta Party speaks about being a citizens representative. "Loksatta ideology is to promote and set the standards ethical politics," says Sharma.

NCP representative Vidya Chavan says that Mumbai suburban problems are mainly roads, quality of roads and the state of health centres. "If everyone did their jobs, the BMC would function well. The ward system is brilliant," says Chavan. She supports the Nagarpal Bill that will keep check on the ward officers.

"If good people enter politics, if people come together to pressurise corruption will be curbed.I request citizens to continue to be active beyond elections. Question, ask and demand and all ward officers will fall in line," says Chavan. "Corruption is rampant because corporators are underpaid," adds Chavan.

Shirish Parkar of MNS to speak about their plans for future. Parkar calls everyone on dias an I-specialists for speaking about themselves. MNS is last to speak because MNS is the last hope for Mumbai, says Parkar.
