The politics over 13/7 bomb blasts seems to be getting uglier. As opposition parties pointed the guns at Congress-led governments, both in Delhi and the state, the Shiv Sena is all set to launch a poster campaign against the Congress-Nationalist Congress Party state government.

With the tag line: ‘Wah re Congress tera khel, sasti jaan mehenga tel’ splashed on the posters, the party has decided to go all out to nail the government. The party leadership has given a call to all its 227 shakhas to participate in the campaign.

Interestingly, the poster does not bear the name of any office bearer, but only that of the party. A list of all bomb blasts in the city in the last 15 years and the number of people who died in these blasts is displayed prominently on the poster.

Making fun of the government’s calls for peace, the party has decided to highlight party chief Bal Thackeray’s statement after the earlier blasts, which said that the people should not rely on the government to combat terrorists. “People should be ready to ensure their own protection,” it had read. Party officials told DNA that such posters will flood the city very soon to highlight the disastrous governance of the Congress-led state government.
