Goods train derails near Akola in Maharashtra

No casualty has been reported, sources said. The derailment, which took place in the morning damaged a portion of the rails. The train was coming from Chandrapur.

Rail traffic on Bhusaval-Bhandar section of the Central Railway was disrupted for hours today following derailment of four wagons of the Bhusawal bound goods train at Akot File bridge near here.

No casualty has been reported, sources said. The derailment, which took place in the morning damaged a portion of the rails. The train was coming from Chandrapur.

The damaged rails were repaired on warfooting and removed the derailed wagons around 4pm today and the rail traffic was restored, the sources added.

Trains on both up and down were reported late by the derailment, the sources added.
