German Bakery trial: Prosecution examines documents

Special public prosecutor Raja Thakare in the German Bakery bomb blast case on Friday examined Dr SD Lohokare and Dr Sumit Saxena, whose medical certificates were not admitted by the defence.

Before the court of additional sessions judge, NP Dhote, Saxena, who is a consultant plastic surgeon with Inlaks Budhrani Hospital, said that the injuries suffered by those who were brought to the hospital were due to the blast.

The prosecution through Thakare had filed a total of 28 medical certificates on Tuesday under Section 294 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (CrPc).

Dr Saxena treated six persons injured in the German Bakery blast on the evening of February 13, 2010. The court deferred the case
till Saturday.
