Advocate Amin Solkar told the Bombay high court on Friday that the prosecution had not shown the entire footage of CST to the trial court. “Why it was not shown, I don’t know,” Solkar said.

Denying Kasab’s presence at CST on the night of the terror attacks that left 166 dead, Solkar said that the prosecution had said not all CCTV cameras at CST were functional during the attacks. But
Solkar pointed out that they had not brought forward a single witness to say that the cameras were under repair.

Solkar told the court hearing the confirmation case of Kasab’s capital punishment that the policemen at CST had failed to fight the terrorists. The court, however, said it was inappropriate to say that but the men in uniform have surely learnt their lesson.

Solkar urged justice Ranjana Desai and justice RV More to visit the site of the terror attacks for a better understanding of the topography of the attacked site. The judges said they wanted to visit the spot and they would decide on a date next week.

“We do not deny the incident, we also do not dispute that two terrorists had fired at people... all that we are saying is that Kasab was not at CST at the relevant time,” Solkar told the high court.
