The three-day property exhibition, ‘DNA Home Expo 2010’, started at Empress Garden on Friday on a successful note with the first booking coming barely a few hours after the inauguration.

The inauguration ceremony was also different as it was homemakers who inaugurated it. Sneha Mushrif, wife of Hemant Mushrif, AGM of Bank of Maharashtra (BoM); Sunita Bramhe, wife of SB Bramhe, DGM of BoM; Sunita Bhandari, wife of Rajneesh Bhandari, director of BU Bhandari Landmark; and Anjali Kothari, wife of Rajesh Kothari, executive director of Dreams Group; jointly
inaugurated the expo.

The event drew a good crowd on the first day with many families visiting the stalls put up by leading builders in the city. “If you look at the trend today it is always women who make the choice for buying an apartment and this is not surprising. It’s a ladies world now and they are now more interested in making the selection as there is lot of choice before them,” said Sunita Bhandari.

Agreeing with the views of Sunita, Anjali Kothari said ideally it should be women who should be making the choice of apartments. “The inauguration of the DNA Expo went well and a well-organised expo will be a boost for customers who are looking to buy their dream home,” said Anjali.

The expo clocked the first booking within a couple of hours of its inauguration with Ajit Suryavanshi from Kondhwa booking an apartment in Wanavdi, a project of Siddharth Creations.

“I am working in merchant navy and it’s a dream come true for me. They gave me concessions because of the expo,” said Suryavanshi.

The expo showcases a wide range of projects across price bands, offering an attractive opportunity for buyers to choose from. It will remain open to the public from 10.30 am to 8.30 pm on all three days. Bank of Maharashtra is the official partner of the expo.

Prominent builders participating in the event include Paranjape Schemes, City Ventures & Holdings, Goel Ganga Group, BU Bhandari Landmarks, Goel Ganga Developments, Raviraj Group, BK Jhala Group, Dreams Group, Vastuviraj, PRA Reality, Siddharth Creations and Mirchandani Group.

The builders are showcasing their projects, offering an attractive opportunity to buyers to study market trends and to understand the best options available.

The best of the Eastside properties include projects in Camp, Lullanagar, Kondhwa, Market Yard, Dhanori, NIBM, Wanavdi, Fatimanagar, Sopan Baug, Hadapsar, Manjri, Loni, Magarpatta, Mundhwa, Koregaon Park, Kalyaninagar, Vimannagar, Kharadi, Wagholi and Vishrantwadi.

A lucky draw is also part of the expo, where those booking flats could win attractive prizes, ranging from LCDs to digital cameras.
