In an attempt to solve the problem that parents face in identifying their child’s areas of interests and strengths, Brain Mark, a Surat-based firm, has introduced the concept of child development through dermatoglyphics multiple intelligence test (DMIT).

The test enables identification of the potential of a child through an analysis of fingerprints. Brain Mark, the pioneer of successfully introducing DMIT in India, has opened three centres — Shivajinagar (opposite BMCC College), Aundh (Bremen Square) and Kalyaninagar (Hermes Heritage).

The company plans to open 10 more centres in the city in future.

Explaining the concept, Brain Mark director, Hetas Pandya, told reporters on Thursday that the test is a cutting-edge technology that gives vital information about the strengths and weaknesses of an individual on the basis of patterns on fingers and hands.

“DMIT is very successful in countries like China, Hong Kong, Japan and Indonesia. We are the first company to launch this concept in the country in Gujarat,” Pandya told DNA.
According to Pandya, such tests enable a parent to understand a child’s psyche and thus work accordingly in guiding the youngster’s future.

“We conducted the test in various centres since its inception in February 2010 and almost 100% parents have given a written positive feedback about the accuracy of DMIT,” said Pandya.

Conducting a DMIT would cost Rs3,500, including the cost of the test, analysis, printing and counselling. The child would be examined by a panel of doctors and a report provided within 24 hours.

“We are planning to approach schools and offices to create awareness about the concept in the city,” he said.
