Sanjay More, an assistant police inspector of the Oshiwara police station, said: “Someone hacked my account and in last one week the person withdrew Rs40, 000 from the account from different ATMs. On July 27, I received a message on my mobile that Rs30,000 had been withdrawn from my account from the Federal Bank ATM located in Dadar area. After some time, I got another massage that Rs10,000 was withdrawn from an SBI ATM in Dharavi. I was shocked to see these massages and immediately informed the bank authority and blocked my card.”

“After that I realised that I had recently used my debit card for shopping at Big Bazaar.  Then we questioned several employee of the mall and came to know that two employees of the mall, who had swiped my card several times saying that there were some technical problem, were the suspect. The two could have copied the CVV number of my debit card. After that they withdrew money from my account,” said More.
