Mohammad Atik, an alleged member of terror outfit Indian Mujahideen, today filed an application before a special court alleging physical and mental torture by the authorities of the central prison at Aurangabad.

Atik has alleged that he was assaulted by the authorities of the Harsul central prison in Aurangabad and has sought transfer to the Arthur Road prison in central Mumbai.        "After I complained to the court about corruption at the Aurangabad prison, the jail authorities kept me in solitary confinement for three days without food and water and assaulted me daily," Atik's application states.

It further seeks for his transfer to the Arthur Road prison as he fears for his life at the Aurangabad jail. Atik and 20 other IM members have been accused of conducting blasts in several cities across the country since 2006 including the serial blasts in Ahmedabad, Delhi, Bangalore and Surat.
