The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) environment cell on Wednesday issued notices to Nikki Gears, an industrial firm in Bhosari, for burning industrial waste in the open.

The civic body will send the report to the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) to enable them to file a criminal case against the unit, as harmful chemical substances were found in the industrial waste.
