Social activist Anna Hazare today called off his five-day old hunger strike following assurance by Maharashtra government to look into his demands on various issues including corruption in co-operative credit societies.
Cooperatives minister Harshawardhan Patil, water resources minister Ramraje Naik Nibalkar and tribal minister Babanrao Pachpute met Hazare in Ralegan Siddhi today requesting him to break the fast.
