FYJC admission guidance centres were expecting their Saturday to be peaceful after successful completion of the first round of general list declaration. Instead, they faced queues of depressed students.

Sakina Bharwal of Alexandria Girls English School, who visited the Charni Road centre, lamented, “Why is my name in a low-grade college even after securing 84.91%?” An officer at the centre found out that she had filled 15 colleges of her ward instead of MMR.

She said, “Now, for betterment as well, I will get a low-grade college of my ward.”

Centre head VB Rajput told her to try offline once the online rounds finished.

Hiloni Ajmera, a classical dancer having 85%, was into tears on not finding her name in the first general list. Officer on duty Avinash Randive found that she had not filled the option in cultural quota for which 2% seats are reserved.

Anita S was worried after getting a seat at KC college. “I wanted Jai Hind college. My online form is not showing sports quota marks. I will not get my first choice, as 25 marks will not be counted.” Many sports quota students of Fort convent schools complained that they were not guided properly and now they will suffer.
