3 elected to MUHS Senate unopposed

The members to the University Students’ Council of the varsity were also elected unopposed.

Three students were elected unopposed as students’ representative to the Senate of the Medical University of Health Sciences (MUHS). The members to the University Students’ Council of the varsity were also elected unopposed.

The MUHS constitution provides for electing three students’ representatives to the senate. Accordingly, nominations were filed and three students’ secretaries had applied. After verifying the documents submitted, Sumit Harde from Dr Punjabrao Deshmukh Nursing Institute at Amravati,  Vaibhav Joshi from ASS Ayurved College at Nashik and Vikrant Pakhare from Government Medical College at Latur were elected unopposed.

The members then decided to nominate members to the University Students’ Council instead of fighting elections. Accordingly, the president, vice-president, secretary, assistant secretary and members were nominated.
