109 bikers booked on JJ flyover

Just a day after a freak accident at JJ flyover which left the pillion rider dead and the rider critically injured, 109 cases of bikers using the deadly flyover were registered in a drive carried out by the traffic police.

Between 12am and 3am on Sunday, action was taken against at least 109 bikers, some of whom were not even wearing helmets, riding on JJ flyover, which is officially banned for two-wheelers.

In a smart move, instead of posting constables at the two ends of the flyover as is the norm, two police teams were stationed in the middle of the flyover on both sides of the divider, near Minara Masjid junction.
