With an idea to get women to share their experiences through writing, Sudha Menon, an author started with an initiative 'Writing With Women (WWW)' 15 days ago in Pune. The initiative will commence in Mumbai in October.

Through this initiative, Menon will be inviting women from different walks of life such as – corporate, housewife, teacher, entrepreneur, lawyer, teenagers to write about their different experience in life.

Speaking about the initiative, Menon, said, "I have been wanting to start this initiative, because I believe that we as women need to write about the things that matter to us. This platform will help women to narrate different phases of their lives. I hope that sharing these experiences with each other through this initiative will make us stronger, help us forge new bonds and foster empathy and compassion for each one of us."

Women from above 20 years of age can participate in this initiative. According to Menon, this platform will help women learn from each other's experiences. Speaking about the session held 15 days ago, Menon, said, "The women wrote stories, which had all the elements - drama, humour, and intense moments of gut wrenching emotions that came out on paper. Many women wrote about their school days, arguments with mom, first crush and so on."

In future, Menon plans to make it an online platform, where any women can write about their experience. Speaking about it, Menon, added, "In future, the writings can be converted into a book or an online platform, where anybody and everybody can reach out and read about the individual experience the woman had in tackling different problems in her life. In India, people don't document their lives. The struggle made in different phases of life should be narrated and documented to pass on to the next generation."
