A 35-year-old woman working as an operations head in a multi-cuisine lounge bar in Andheri (East) has lodged a case of molestation against her colleague. According to her complaint, she was abused and harassed by the executive chef of the restobar. The incident happened on Friday at around 5 pm.

The victim said, "We had a change of menu in the restaurant. However, our executive chef did not train his subordinates about its presentation. My director informed me about a bunch of bloggers who were coming to taste the menu."

She said that the staff were caught off guard as they were not trained in the new menu. "The executive chef did not do his job. When I confronted him after the staff complained, he started abusing me. I took up the matter with the director, so the chef abused me in front of my staff. He even tried to slap me but somebody intervened," she added.

The woman added that since she did not get any help from her seniors in her workplace after she complained to them about his behaviour, she lodged an FIR with the Andheri police. "Initially, an NC was registered after which it was converted into an FIR," said an officer from Andheri police station. The accused is yet to be arrested. A case has been registered under sections 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code.
