Nalasopara seaman's body to reach on Saturday, but mystery continues

The family of 24-year-old seaman from Nalasopara on Thursday were relieved to get an official confirmation regarding their son's body finally to be flown in from Germany to Mumbai on Saturday by 9.40pm. But in yet another dilemma the report of autopsy would be provided only after five weeks which keeps the mystery about the actual cause of death to the family.

Sachin Shukla's body was found by the expert divers on 23 September after 18 hours of search between the port and the vessel at Rendsburg Port in Germany. Shukla was on board the vessel MV Divine since past six months and was promoted as Ordinary Seman from a trainee. Shukla was about to reach on 24 September back home while the investigation reports revealed that he slipped in the sea while answering nature's call. His corpse would be flown from Tegal Airport to Zurich and would reach Mumbai on Saturday by 9.45pm. dna had reported the incident on Tuesday and Wednesday editions.

"In the E-mail by the representative of the company confirmed that the body would be flown on Saturday night but the autospy report would only be given after five weeks which would keep us unsure about the actual cause of death and rest of the documents would be sent to us via post", said Rohan Shukla, brother.

"Since past so many days the authorities were saying that they are busy making the documents and now despite waiting for so many days we are unable to see the documents", said Anil Shukla, father.
But atleast we would be able to perform final rites on our son. He added.
