Mumbai: Traffic cops mark several BKC areas as no-parking zones

In a bid to bring about better vehicle parking management at the sprawling Bandra Kurla Complex business district in Mumbai, the traffic police has designated a few areas as no-parking zones.

In a statement, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) said that the Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) has communicated that four blocks in the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) – G, G-Txt, GN and E – have been declared ‘no-parking-zones’ for all 24 hours.

The decision has been taken to encourage parking in the designated areas and discourage parking on roads which often creates traffic related issues, the MMRDA statement said.
