Mumbai: 3 die in different suburban train mishaps in one day

Three persons including an 18-year-old youth died on Tuesday in separate accidents on suburban trains in Mumbra in the district, railway police said.

Three persons including an 18-year-old youth died on Tuesday in separate accidents on suburban trains in Mumbra in the district, railway police said.

An 18-year-old unidentified boy fell down from the local train and died this morning. His body has been sent for postmortem, an official with Central Railway Police Control Room said.

In separate incidents between 9 and 10 AM, two persons who travelled on the roof of the train were electrocuted to death in Mumbra, he said. The deceased have been identified as Shabbiar Hussain and Altaf Aftab Alam sheikh, the officer said, adding all the incidents occurred on the up track and investigations are underway.
