Automobile major Honda on Thursday launched its much-awaited sedan, Amaze, at a price range of Rs4.99 lakh to Rs7.60 lakh.
The company's first diesel-run car, Amaze has been touted to be India's most fuel-efficient car with a mileage of 25.6 kilometres/ litre.
The car has four diesel options (priced between Rs5.99-7.60 lakh) and six petrol options (priced between Rs4.99-7.50 lakh).
While the diesel option of Amaze is powered by a 1.5-litre engine, the biggest in its segment, the petrol option has a 1.2-litre engine. The company claims that the 1.5-litre all aluminium diesel engine will give a mileage of 25.8 km per litre.
Besides, the manual transmission has a fuel economy of 18 km per litre and the automatic one is claimed to run 15.5 km per litre.
The 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine will allow greater-comfort driving. The diesel engine will have Solenoid fuel injector, high-efficiency cooling system. The pistons will be narrower and shorter with environment friendly fuel system.
The interiors of the car have also been designed keeping in mind the comfort and space aspects. Honda has provided the Indian buyers with a bigger trunk space in the car.

The car would be available to the Indian masses across 150 retail outlets of Honda spread over 97 cities.
