Here are the new prices of petrol and diesel in 6 metropolitan cities

The prices of petrol and diesel were last cut in Delhi by Rs 2 per litre each which excluded local sales tax.

Petrol and diesel prices were reduced with effect from Friday midnight, according to reports. The third reduction in rates in one month, the government cut petrol price by Rs 2.34 per litre and diesel by Rs 3.60 per litre. 

The prices of petrol and diesel were last cut in Delhi by Rs 2 per litre each which excluded local sales tax.

According to reports, due to hike in VAT tax from 20 to 25%, petrol price in Delhi went up by 28 paise a litre. Before that the government cut price of petrol and diesel by 31 paise per litre and 71 paise per litre respectively on July 1.

Here is the list of petrol prices in the six metropolitan cities in India.

PETROL

Delhi:
The price of petrol in the capital was Rs 66.90 which has been revised to Rs 64.47, the lowest among all the metropolitan cities. 

Kolkata:
In Kolkata petrol price has been reduced by Rs 2.60. The revised price of petrol in the city of joy is Rs 69.15 now.

Mumbai:
Petrol price in Mumbai was Rs 71.97 which has been revised to Rs 69.51.

Chennai:
In Chennai petrol cost Rs 67.29 which has been reduced by Rs 2.52 and now the revised price is Rs 64.77.

Bengaluru:
In Bengaluru, the price of petrol has been revised to Rs 68.05 from Rs 70.70.

Hyderabad:
Petrol price in Hyderabad has been reduced by Rs 2.70. Now, the price of petrol has been revised to Rs 69.97 from Rs 72.67.

 

DIESEL

Delhi:
In the capital, the revised cost of diesel is Rs 46.12 which is a reduction of Rs 3.60 from Rs 49.72.

Kolkata:
Diesel costs Rs 52.75 which is revised to Rs 49.66, a Rs 3.09 reduction in price.

Mumbai:
In Mumbai, diesel price has been revised to Rs 51.29 from Rs 55.15.

Chennai:
Diesel in Chennai costs Rs 47.30 which is a revised rate from Rs 51.08 - a reduction of Rs 3.78.

Bengaluru:
Diesel in Bengaluru has been revised to Rs 48.77 which is a reduction of Rs 3.82 from Rs 52.59.

Hyderabad:
​In Hyderabad, diesel costs Rs 50.32 which has been revised from Rs 54.28.
