Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal slug it out with mega electronic sales

The e-commerce players in India are slugging it out again with massive sales across cateogies to entice customers.  

Snapdeal is celebrating the new ‘Snapdeal India Mobile Day’ offering biggest mobile sale on 25th May with new deals every two hours.

While, Amazon is offering sale upto 50% off on electronics and healthcare products on 25th May with one day guaranteed delivery across the selected locations.

But, Flipkart’s electronic sales which guarantee superhit deals on electronics will  continue its sale till 26th May and additional 10% discounts on axis bank’s debit and credit cards. 

Retail analysts say that these discount strategies increase sales at these companies by 200-300% .

“E-commerce players use these discount strategies to increase sales. During these periods, sales of e-commerce players increase by a whopping 200-300% at least, sometimes higher.  E-commerce players do not look to sell the products at a profit but it definitely ramps up their revenues,” Prashant Agarwal, founder and joint MD, Wazir Advisors had told Financial Express.
