1) Rahul Gandhi bashes BJP over net neutrality, differential pricing

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has spoken out against the BJP government on issues relating to net neutrality and differential pricing.

Gandhi said that despite young India, Nasscom and even over 500 start-up entrepreneurs pleading for net neutrality, the government has been delaying the formation of a clear-cut policy on the pretext of repeated discussions. Read more here.

2) Smart Cities: PM Modi's initiative will need over $150 billion in investments, says Deloitte

The Modi government's vision of creating 100 smart cities will require an investment of over $150 billion over the next few years with the private sector being a significant contributor, says a report.

According to Deloitte, nearly $120 billion will come from the private sector.

The government has already initiated two programmes with an initial outlay of $7.513 billion for 'Smart Cities Mission' and the 'Atal Mission for Rejuvenation of Urban Transformation (AMRUT)' for the upgradation of 500 existing cities. Read more here.

5) RBI may maintain status quo on Tuesday: Experts

As inflation trends upwards, RBI may keep interest rate unchanged in the upcoming monetary policy review on Tuesday and possibly take a call post-Budget 2016-17, which will give a direction about key macroeconomic parameters, including fiscal deficit, experts said.
