Dramatic: This is probably the only time in the year when you can experiment with bold drama when it comes to make-up without looking like a clown. And what more, you could even modify your looks depending on the theme parties you’d be attending this season. Start by applying an oily base on the eyelids. Apply a classic eye pencil, and then move on to shimmery, diamond, glittery eyeshadows. You could also go for the popular smoky eye look. Overuse the black eyeshadow, or, break the all-black color on the eyelids by applying a soft colored line. And for the final touch, you could diamantes, artificial tattoos etc on your cheekbones to nail the dramatic look.

Metallic: We all know metallic is in vogue. Go ahead, try those silver, gold, matt metallic, bronze or brass shades to enhance your look. Metallic eye make-up looks best when applied on the inner corners of the eye, under the brow, and the centers of the lids when applied with a dense shadow or a creamy pencil.
Colour blast: Start by applying a black eyeliner on the lower lids and on the interior of the upper lids. Choose navy blue, pink, red, purple, fuchsia, orange, or golden yellow eyeshadows depending on your attire. For a shocking result, go for red lips. A complex make-up that uses unusual colour combinations can help you draw attention. Apply two complementary colours in the two corners of your eyes to evoke a fairytale-look. To add a mystic aura, apply a glittery eyeliner in a different colour. Opt for highly contrasting neon hues. Make sure you go for products with a powdered texture.

Au natural: Natural make-up is a timeless trend, but what with the party mood soaring high, it’s no sin to turn towards a little bit of colour. For a seductive, soft and feminine look, opt for a shimmery pink palette. Apply a light pink shade on the inner third of the eye and continue with another pink hue, one or two shades darker. Make sure you blend the two colours perfectly using a blending brush for best results. Use a pencil eyeliner to blur your lash line and apply mascara. Get the aqua look by using blues, greens, teals and golds, and pink petal-shade lip gloss.

Shimmer and shine:  Add a bit of shimmer to your eye make-up by brushing a light shimmery translucent shade over the center of your already made up eyelids. Run a shimmer stick lightly over already lined lash lines. Pat a shimmery clear lip gloss. For a more dynamic look, use a sheer shimmery gloss with a hint of colour. Use a shimmery bronzer onto your jawline, hairline, the tip of your nose and chin to define your bone structure while giving you a sun-kissed appearance. Also, brush on some very sheer fairy dust on your décolletage, arms and bare back. Now you’re ready to rock the party, baby!
